Hi, I’m Miss V – a proud New Yorker with deep Italian roots and an even deeper love for cooking.
Growing up in a big, lively household, the kitchen was always the heart of our home. My dad was Italian, and my mom made the best homemade sauce – though me and my siblings couldn’t resist sneaking in our own seasonings when she wasn’t looking. (Eventually, she started locking the sauce in her bedroom – yes, really!)
I’ve always had a passion for food, especially Italian comfort dishes and pastries that bring people together. As a single mom of two wonderful kids – a boy and a girl – I’ve worn many hats over the years, always looking for creative ways to support my family.
While working for a company in Phoenix, I’d bring in cannoli, sausage and pepper sandwiches, and my now-famous rum cake for visiting clients. Word got around – and soon, I was selling rum cakes and building a small but loyal customer base.
I started catering Italian meals in Chandler, and even when I took a short break, I kept the pastry side going through my website. After moving to Scottsdale, people still knew me as Miss V, and more and more began asking for my baked goods by name.
Now, I’m back and better than ever – offering catering and homemade Italian desserts, including new menu favorites like Tiramisu and Chicken Marsala. I believe in giving back, so I often deliver free rum cakes and cannoli to places I’ve worked, my pharmacy, my bank, and even strangers who
show kindness – like the man who helped me when I had a flat tire. I asked if he liked cannoli, and a few days later, I surprised him with a fresh batch. He couldn’t believe I actually followed through!
